L'OFFICINA MECCANICA BENEVENTI nasce dal nulla nel 1976 come Ditta Individuale sita nel garage sotto casa; attrezzata con un tornio parallelo, un trapano e poco altro, ma il punto forte dell'Azienda era l'intraprendenza e la voglia di fare di Giuseppe Beneventi che già a 24 anni ben consapevole della
enormità dei sacrifici da affrontare aveva la certezza di riuscire a realizzare le proprie aspirazioni imprenditoriali. La zona operativa ed il momento erano senz'altro favorevoli, il comprensorio dell'industria ceramica di Sassuolo già allora offriva notevoli
opportunità ed è proprio nel settore dell'industria meccanica applicata alla ceramica che l'azienda ha cominciato ad operare lavorando esclusivamente (come del resto tutt'oggi) per conto terzi.
Dopo alcuni mutamenti societari nel 1984 la ditta assume la denominazione attuale di: OFFICINA MECCANICA BENEVENTI Snc.
